In terms of region design, locations to visit, and general Pokemon availability, I'd say Paldea is the all around worst region just by sheer comparison to the other nu-gen games.

>Region is open world but the game's artstyle is so dogshit that any visually interesting area is bogged down by it's graphics and Gamefreaks lack of optimization.
>Gyms are probably the worst they've ever been. The "challenges" feel more like tacked on mini-games (probably because GF couldn't figure out how to make a real gym puzzle work in-engine so they had to do real basic shit like Katy's ball pushing, Larry's memorization quiz, and Grusha's very very shitty snowboarding section).
>All 3 stories are written like dogshit, Arven's was the best of the bunch by the sheer fact that his story was simple but effective
>The DLCs don't even expand upon the region itself, which honestly just shows how little faith GF had in Paldea as a place in universe and how slap-dash gen 9 is as a whole
