Only played 1 but this is the impression I got
>shitty Arkham combat
>almost every encounter has brute, gunners, and rocket launchers which were sparsely used in Arkham encounters
>gunners ruin the flow of combat since you have to constantly dodge every couple of hits while they stand 100 feet away
>rocket launchers have cheap homing rockets that will turn 90 degrees in the air to hit you for large amounts of cheap damage
>four different flavors of almost the same exact enemies you’ll be fighting the entire game
>dumbed down web swinging mechanics that almost automate swinging and have essentially no fail state or consequences
>crap stealth mechanics that have little to none visual indicators for visibility and little to none world intractability for varied takedowns
>the most repetitive cookie cutter Ubisoft side content design that mostly equate go to a point on the map to collect thing and including randomly generating combat encounters. Doesn’t even have puzzles sprinkled around to use your gadgets on
>main mission segments are QTE filled set pieces instead of the Zelda dungeons of the Arkham series
>shitty stealth sequences with Miles and MJ and boring as fuck menial “slice of life” filler like sweeping up trash
>story is boring mundane filler about Peter’s everyday life until literally who Mr. Negative takes up most of the narrative and the Sinister Six only showing up for the last 10% of the game for back to back shitty QTE filled boss fights
>pushes fucking Miles Morales and his family in the most shoehorned way possible like anyone gives a shit
All in all I thought it was pretty shit
