I figured that why writing dream journals work is because of my inherit laziness. Even though I struggle to fall asleep at night sometimes, I'm too lazy to get up so I just kind of imagine doing whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing and think that it's real. If I just keep laying down it gets trippy, but I have to write in the journal or whatever most of the time I guess for it to work.
