I'm not a huge pokemon guy but this shit was fucking badass. are there any other games where you fight your past self?

What's stopping Nintendo and Gamefreak from releasing every gen on the Switch 2? I don't want to play the gen 2 remake or gen 3 remake on my 3DS or gen 4 remake on Switch, i want the original 2D sprites.

I'd pay 100$ per generation bundled in a cart.
