The reality is that the chinks had never fully replicated CFM56 tech from the 70s. Their much touted state-of-the-art WS-15 engine has only achieved a max TIT of 1,580°C after myriads of delays and failures, which is still far behind that of F135 or even the F119 from the 90s. And now they're celebrating the first ever domestically produced F-class gas turbine which only has a temp range between 1300-1400°C, while every top tier gas turbine producers including Doosan are producing H+ class gas turbines that sit around +1600°C.
