sleep paralysis is a funny thing. before i started working, the only time i'd experienced it was a singular time when i was 'awoken' early in the morning when the sun was just starting to break through into my room, and there was no demon but rather the shadow of a ballerina(?) type figure bouncing between the left and right of my bedroom

skip ahead like 5 years later, i'm employed and have an awful sleep schedule and very often find myself passing out against my will in my seat at work while i'm working on typing up documents. when this happens, failry often i'll fall into this half-paralyzed sleeping state where i still see the office around me but it feels like i'm having a fucking seizure and my body is shaking wildly and uncontrollably, experiencing this and occasionally voices booming in my ear until i suddenly wake up to complete normalcy a minute or so later. it's an insane feeling and when i first came out of it was freaking the fuck out thinking i just had a health emergency before figuring out what happened, but i've since gotten used to it and just come out of that feeling more dazed and confused than anything and hoping my coworkers didnt see me doing any weird shit while passed out
