i did give him away, it felt wrong to cling onto him despite his wishes. And him being laughed at by King and Lancer at his expense felt wrong. All he ever wanted was to be watched and loved, which is strange because most darkners we've seen usually want to be independent and live happily in their own bubble. I feel like respecting his wish is the best thing you can do if you truly want him to move on from the Dreemur Household and all the divorce invoked trauma he has.

And it's also kinda sad how scared he is of Kris, both in that cutscene and in the one where Kris goes to talk alone with him.
