Bruce upgrades to a new version of the Batmobile, but after a few days the old model goes missing from the Batcave. A week later he's turned up nothing but news reaches him that that the old Batmobile has been seen cruising the streets of Gotham. That night he goes out searching for it and witnesses a scene where it plows through a man crossing the road. The old Batmobile would be a sort of faceless enemy similar to the fuel truck from Steven Spielberg's Duel as an almost malevolent otherworldly force in control of a vehicle. It would be an actual old version of the Batmobile (you pick your old favorite, it's that one.) The Gotham police wouldn't be willing to talk to Batman since the Batmobile has turned Batman into a maniac in the eyes of the city's populace.
