Okay. I think I understand how Ice-E and Friend actually work.

Pizzarina and Mike are the names they’re gotten to use others as their vessels.
Pizzarina is using the lightners (including Kris) to reach to Pizzapants. Making them think it’s all one big gig that will end. Until she actually shows up and takes Pizzapants, and they are never seen again. And Kris is the only one realizing this and feels immense dread when he sees that Ice-E is getting replaced at the end of chapter 4.

Simple, they all pretended to be Pizzarina to perform this conspiracy. Kris worn Ice-E’s face after the Ice-E’s pizza box developed fiery eyes. Nice Cream Guy also worn Ice-E’s face in chapter 1. Bratty pretended to be a Pizza themed girl to cat fish Pizzapants.

Likewise, Friend uses the darkners who pretend to be Mike as his own vessels. And he becomes the friend inside of them.

When you pretend to be Pizzarina and Mike, you become extensions of them.
