Alot of anime watchers now will not have seen much before demonslayer, the anime with the comically ott retards and flashy over animated facial expressions. Same applies across alot of shonen now, they have to try and pander to retards who speedwatch or watch Tiktok at the same time. Literally trying to grab their attention because if things are not flashing and people are not screaming they will zone out and miss how characters are responding.

So this is why like itt, when you put forward an anime character you would typical see in anime from decades before this modern trend they literally cannot tell there is any emotion because they don't dial the expressions up to shonenshit retard level
