i'm not good at them (you have to be able to read telegraphs and respond very quickly and i'm not good at that) and while there are some games i can be bad at and still enjoy (like i have fun cheating in some single player strategy games and playing them like sandboxes), fighting games aren't among them.

while i could probably improve with a lot of practice, there are games i can play right now with zero practice which would be as fun or more fun to me than fighting games would be even if i was good at them. so i'd rather just play those because i don't have to spend 300 hours gittin' gud.
