It was worth it so Monster Hunter 4 would look less like dog shit. I have no problem playing the series on handhelds, but the saturation of 4 in particular was through the roof on original 3DS hardware if the trailers were anything to go by. Preordered the New 3DS bundled the moment it was announced and never looked back.
