I like Jodie as an actress but I thought she was a weak choice to play the first female version of the doctor. I'd have to check the episode synopsis but I think I gave up after three episodes into her reign.

Capaldi was crippled by awful writing so it stands to reason that would carry over into the Chibnal era.
