I hate to be a nay-sayer, but all of the known sociological statistics indicate that children are VASTLY better off with single fathers than with single mothers.
The best outcomes for children of single parents are obtained with FATHERS, not mothers, as the custodial parent.
So statistically speaking, the kids might very well have hit the jackpot, so to speak.
Any woman who would commit suicide is a woman who is IPSO FACTO not a good role model for her fambly.
