Childhood affection, probably her first real friend her own age, Alm being a swell guy, him entering her life at it's lowest point, etc. IIRC, when Celica first came to Ram, she stayed cloistered in Mycen's house being miserable, and it was Alm who kept persistently trying to make friends that got her out of there.
