Even with insulation and energy-efficient windows you can't do much to stop your house from getting hot when it's 40 degrees outside and it barely gets below 30 during the night.
Growing up after communism fell I've had to suffer through nights when it was 37 degrees indoors, the walls were radiating heat despite all our efforts.
