Yes, the 96 frame has a larger cut out at the front of magazine “as feed ramps” but ideally the round never touches the frame and goes directly into the barrel. The 90 series has no frame feeding ramp, the rounds should go directly into the barrel but sometimes they don’t as you can see the brass/copper marks on the frame.

The .22 slide might need a heavier hammer spring to detonate the primers, some people have issues with the stock 16 pound spring and have to switch to the older 20 pound spring from the M9
