It is hilarious how hard XY series tried to turn Ash into Kirito but they made no effort in making Serena anything like Asuna. Because no matter how hard I try, I can't imagine Serena fighting by Ash's side like how Asuna fight besides Kirito. I can imagine Dawn, I can imagine Misty, I can even imagine Iris but not Serena.
As if Serena lacks some sorts of strength and there is an invisible wall between her & Ash.
