OS series succeed because they made the characters feel realistic despite it set in a world where children travel the world at the age of ten. Honestly, with a few tweaks the prototype Pokeballs from Karna's episode would make a nice change in the gameplay, atleast for the capturing aspects. One new set of balls could just be varations of the Net ball but for the different types. They have the code already at hand, just replace the variable of the Bug/Water type with the other types, copypaste it 16 more times which should be Gamefreak's favorite part. You would have lost them at the replace part. Switch it up by starting off with copypasting instead, that should do the trick.

Only way Horizon could have been interesting --
