If you like Battletech/Mechwarrior aesthetics Dougram is worth checking out, it was a massive influence on Battletech.
Armored Trooper VOTOMS is also a classic, and influenced Heavy Gear if you ever played those games back in the day. The tread-feet make the mechs kinda agile, but they're also all shitboxes, no protagonist specials or anything that shrug off hits.

Big O is also essential weighty robots core, though it's on the Super Robot side of things. It's very stylish.
