LOL. You're flailing temple-tier theatrics like it's going to erase the fact that the last Demon Slayer movie underperformed internationally and got outpaced by a filler MHA film with a third of the hype and none of the spiritual bells and whistles. This is not a flex BTW. It's desperation guerilla marketing.
>a religious temple decked out like a theme park
>for a movie based on a four-year-old IP peak
>that is stalling between arcs while Sony milks every ounce out of the theater-to-TV-to-theater shuffle
They're going nuclear on PR because they know this isn't Mugen Train again (and a lot of Japanese agrees the Mugen Train days are long gone). The recap experiment didn't hold overseas either. They saw that. And now they’re overcompensating with temples and heritage pageantry, trying to front-load interest before word-of-mouth slows it all down again (the seiyuu are all praying for months before the movie drops because they're insecure btw). You don't roll out this kind of spectacle unless you’re terrified of Week 2 drop-offs (which they are, see Jurassic World).
You can set a temple on fire and drape it in Demon Slayer banners, and it still won't increase screen retention vs Hollywood blockbusters like Superman, Jurassic World, and Fantastic Four. It still won't improve runtime economics (Infinity Castle is long, that cuts into showtimes). It still won't change the global fatigue surrounding this IP's dragged out final chapters because it's run out of content.
Your picrel is the equivalent of the Flash premiere with Ezra Miller and red carpet chaos. Flashy as hell, but meaningless when the actual box office legs are soft.

One Piece easily. There's a reason why Tomino ranked Oda in his top 3 most important mangaka to Japan alongside Toriyama and Tezuka, and NOT the Demon Slayer hack.

Still not Jeremy, still not mad, and still 100% confident this movie is going to underperform like a 2-hour anime recap with 30 minutes of padding. You seething this hard over merch bundle pre-orders tells me everything I need to know. You really are just a child like any other Demon Slayer fan, lmao. If you really believed Infinity Castle was going to crush it, you wouldn't need to spend 14 hours a day on 4chan trying to convince strangers it’s a masterpiece before it even opens.
You keep pretending pre-sales = dominance, but guess what? Mugen Train didn't need pre-sale cope. It had legs.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 didn't need 4chan threads. It had word of mouth.
Super Mario Bros didn't need posters or breathing styles. It had rewatchability.
This movie?
>has a 2h35m runtime (cinemas hate long movies)
>no finale hype
>heavy Hollywood competition
>a deflating economy
>no China release
>September overseas rollout (aka box office Siberia)
>no awards buzz or critic pull
>and an IP that's been milked harder than a shounen cow in its sixth season.
Pre-sales mean your loud fanbase showed up early, not that the movie has box office stamina. You can't stretch "Day 1 hype" across 6 weeks of competitive scheduling with Superman and Jurassic World lurking.
But go ahead. Make another thread. Screenshot this too. I'll still be right when this thing tops out at ¥15B domestic and caps at $175-190 or $200M globally if it's lucky.
Demon Slayer isn's Oppenheimer. It"# not Endgame. It's not Return of the King. It's a high-budget episode drop with glossy marketing. And soon, it'll be just another long-ass anime movie getting steamrolled by Chris Pratt and David Corenswet, two white guys.

Of course you didn't read, because you can't read. Spics can't read so naturally third world monkeys (like you) don't understand business either or how the film industry actually works. Monkey sees anime decals slapped on cab, and monkey goes wild. Tale as old as time.
