Or Arisa from AI Limit, i.e. a naive soldier girl who has a caring heart but won't hesitate to kill if it needs happening. They're the perfect protags for post apoc settings because it's them reacting around the bleak world they find themselves in. Hell I actually prefer combat autists like Arisa compared to the overly emotive protags that western movieslop games tend to have.
