As the other Anon said: all Yugo M1924s were originally in 8x57IS. What country are you in? In some Euro countries there were time periods when their laws forbid civilian ownership of firearms chambered in "military" cartridges so many milsurps would be re-chambered into something similar but just different enough to escape these regulations e.g. reaming 8x57mm Mauser rifles out to 8x60mm.
