The most significant attacking links at the moment are Gyökeres for No. 9, Rodrygo for LW and Madueke as the 3rd "versatile forward". All of these players are known to excel in quick transitions, something we're possibly dead worst at in Europe right now. My theory is that Arteta noticed our habit of consistently throwing away games in the Second Half after taking the lead, and is now basically planning to play two halves of football: Havertz and Saka lead the line in the first half and play possession based as usual, then around minute 60 (if we take the lead) completely shut up shop, put on our Stoke kits, and bring on Gyokeres and Madueke (possibly Martinelli also) to fully exploit counters. Zubimendi and Norgaard both being excellent at causing high turnovers also supports this. We are going to witness a scale of terrorism worthy of The Hague.
