>default noise reduction
>haze removal
Used the depth map adjust the depth slider and the strength until there was a subtle but noticeable improvement.
>local adjustments
Used one on the top right-hand side to darken the far riverbank and another on the left-hand side to increase lightness on the tarp.
>tone curve
Used to lighten the foreground as much as possible without increasing the haze.
>local contrast
Adjusted the darkness and lightness levels, amount and radius until there was a noticeable but not destructive increase in edges.
>LAB adjustments
Used the chrominance based on luminance curve to increase saturation lightly in the lower midtones.

>highlight recovery

>set white balance using pipette
>crop to centre the light
>noise reduction
>tone curve
Played around (https://ibb(d o t) co/4ZsbVwFJ) until it looked "good". I had to reduce saturation by five points because the light was oversaturated
>Film simulation
Downloaded RawTherapee's CLUT collection and found a good one: Polaroid 669 Cold 1--
>LAB adjustment
Lifted the black point until there was a subtle gradient from light to dark.
