This game's pixels were technically impressive but I still think the artistry behind them was a little misguided. So many characters look off, with distractingly evil-looking faces, wooden-looking muscles, weird stances, or borderline grotesque physiques, specially contrasting to their old designs, or the key art for the very game. It's true that this was the last time a major-ish studio paraded high quality pixelart as a selling point, but I don't need the AAA industry to tell me what to play. Joints like Tengo Project still produce amazing looking pixel games.
