A one room apartment still goes for 6 to 900 a month here in Quebec. My first apartment was 340$ a month, i was making 8$ an hour. A cook job would easily pay 20$ an hour now but I'm not gonna argue that it's not fucking harder now cause it's not, the food is way more expensive and when you make 40k vs 20k a year you end up paying way more in taxes, no one really mention this but it's making things worse.
So it's fucking hard but not impossible.
