Emotion is just a deeper modifying feedback loop on cognition. Effects are complex but cases of pure cognition could backtrace the modifier to a more generalized set of rules. Ofc that would initially just be mimicry unless an internal loop could be established from the process overall ... srsly, this is not rocket science.
