38sp is 38sp, not like it got any less deadly over the years. if you're gonna carry it you might as well pick up a cheap pocket holster though, if for no other reason than to stop it from shifting oddly in your pocket or falling out too easily. there's really no downside if you set the retention to be loose enough, unless you're so hurting for money that 20-60 bucks is gonna set you back a ton
