But,

That corn is a different breed of low yield, fast growth. In the past it was only used for animal feed. Today it has a dual purpose. Almost none of this corn is strictly processed only for ethanol.
That corn feeds the BILLIONS of chickens and tens of millions of cows we eat every year.
