For me I watched season 1 and thought it was okay. Then I watched Cinderella grey and found it to be way better than season 1. I think the cast bloat and Special week being bland was my biggest problem with the first season. Just having Oguri, Belno, Kitahara, Roppei, and a few rivals only makes it easier to understand. Oguri is also a more interesting MC to me.
