On a related note, Kyoto Animation has closed most of its retail stores in Kyoto itself. Every 'KyoAni Shop' (in JR Kyoto station and at their HQ in Uji) is permanently shut down. The only KyoAni merchandise I could find was in partnered record stores and the Nidec Kyoto Tower which was depressingly quiet.
