Just finished the game. Goddamn, this scene. No one has been betrayed harder in fiction than Lune in this moment, and she's making sure Verso fucking KNOWS it. After everything the player has been through with Lune throughout this entire game... it's almost like she's death-staring at you as well. It hurts.

Also, why can't Verso just ask Maelle to gommage him? Why does it have to be suicide AND genocide?

I refuse to believe that Maelle is so stubborn and cruel that she wouldn't even consider that option for him. What does she even gain by keeping him alive as a pet anyway? That can't be something she wants. It feels so wicked and out of character for her.

She knows she's torturing him but does it anyway. That's not who she is, but the ending demanded she turn into this cruel torture god just for the sake of drama. I just didn't buy it.
