Look at the "flower man" prophecy again and imagine that the dark hands holding the flower are actually not his hands, it's someone else handing him the flower. "an old friend" to literally quote him in his vent scene

What if the negative space hands in this image aren't Asgores? what if it's FRIEND's hands, handing him a "special" flower?

He is also speaking to "an old friend" which most people assume is the flower itself in the cutscenes
