Complain all you like, but that's exactly the beauty of WH40k and one of it's greatest strengths - the setting is so vast, so all-encompassing and generic enough, that it can adopt any trope, theme or story, and make it work with a little makeup. Want Mechwarrior in WH40k? Imperial Knights. Want Predator (1987) in WH40k? Catachan/Death Worlds. Want Judge Dredd in WH40k? Adeptus Arbites etc. So for all intents and purposes, the Hell dimension in the Event Horizon might as well been the Warp/Immaterium. It's almost memetic.
