He does use it on her early on. I guess the fact that he doesn't use it more often especially after he levels it up could be a plot hole though I can't think of any specific instances right now. One could perhaps chalk it up to him not liking to invade the heroines' privacy with mindreading unless it's critical perhaps. Is there a particular spot you're thinking of?
