I've only been on the receiving end of them so I can't speak on what they're like to play but as raiders they feel pretty balanced early game, but late game with their heavy armour, walking slug turrets and magazine fed rocket launchers, they're pretty fucking brutal (which is a breath of fresh air honestly).
I think they make for a cool enemy and I like the outfits the mod adds. I haven't used War Walkers yet so I can't speak for them. If you just have the mod installed it's not going to take over your playthrough if that's what you're wondering
