Trick attack timing should be *a* gimmick used by *some* enemies. Which is how it's used in DeS, DS, DS2, and BB, as well as countless other good action games like DMC or NG.
The very first enemy in DS3 shouldn't have trick attack timing. More than half of your generic enemies in DS3 and ER shouldn't have trick attack timing. Bosses should not have 10 different trick attacks to memorize.

All From has done is manage to transition Souls from an ARPG series into a slog of rote memorization, to the detriment of its gameplay and pacing.
The games would objectively play better if 90% of the trick attacks were removed, but then people would realize that that is the only thing they have anymore.
