Yes it's studiopoop and therefore a little too polished but it's well done. I don't really mind the lack of gore because the original didn't have much either. I liked the new family. Leatherface has a daughter(!)? Kind of weird that he has a chad brother but I guess you can't have ugly people in studio movies. When your blood relatives are Viggo Mortensen, Matthew McConaughey, and Alexandra Daddario, at some point you're not an inbred woods clan, but you're just the retarded one out of a family of elite genes. I understand why Bubba wears the mask now.
Now I'm wondering if TCM The Next Generation filtered everyone and have to check it out.
