>can't believe that a certain YouTuber still shills them
Buff went from your friendly neighborhood armor tester to "Patreon-packing, affiliate links loaded NIJ alternative for companies with baggage" really quickly. It's a shame. See pic related. He's been around for ages. He has every reason to know, or should know that RMA did not disclose the cheat rings and undersized coverage on the 1189 and 1199 for over a year. Yet he says they were upfront. In an earlier thread, we found out RMA was selling the 1189 as early as 2013. Did they disclose the cheat ring then? Apparently not!

Five years of not disclosing the 10x12" plate only has 8x10" coverage. That's what I call... upfront. Also, before June 19th 2013 they were apparently selling other companies' plates or plates using materials from another country, didn't specify, so that's nice. Think that was the 1145 shitshow.
Buff also calls their whole lineup "to spec and a little more" - like the NIJ suspended 1155. Multi-hit Level IV losing to two budget-ass Tulammo .308 at 100 meters per an anon's test. To spec and a little more!
>I recently saw a 4sas4 plate on eBay with a April 25 manufacturer date
Not surprising, they kept going or are still going until the strike faces are exhausted. Maybe they'll keep going if people keep buying the things. They make money hand over fist and Highcom is hurting!
>The scariest shit with these plates is that the ceramic did not crack, even under x-ray. There is legit no way to tell if your plates compromised.
Buff's initial plates passed his tap and torque test. I believe his initial assessment, that the fiberglass backer is "trash" is correct.
>I'll post my 12 page fraud evidence I compiled
I remember that from the highcom threads. Good times!
