The visual detection range table I included is actually from the double-blind rules. Here's the ECM detection modifier table. As you can see, void sig and null sig make sensor detection almost impossible. +7 for void sig on 2d6 means that even at point blank range, it's almost impossible to spot the mechs with those systems, since when you're making a sensor check, 9+ is automatic failure to detect the target. Which means that if you've just got standard mech sensors, you need to roll snake eyes to detect a void sigg'd mech within 12 hexes, and even a single light woods hex between you and the void sigg'd mech makes the sensor check an impossible roll. So even in clear daylight you can't spot the thing visually beyond 15 hexes, and it's nigh-impossible to detect it on sensors unless you've got a REALLY good active probe.
