>The original Summon Night is the 2nd time?
You're right, my bad. I conflated both games together like one big happy family because of 2's gaiden end.
Summon Night 1 (1/00) being the first, SN2 being the second, and Kanon being the 3rd. I say 3rd because I believe Kanon was not voiced until the console releases (9/00) despite the initial Windows 1999 release.
Pictured: the うにゅう girl in question. Not to be confused with the うぐぅ girl.
Ahem, onto Summon Night:
I do like the Summoning laws and think they're cool, don't get me wrong. It's just that it can all be swept up under the umbrella of "magic bullshit".
The only thing I don't like is that seemingly any creature can be summoned out of their life at will with no warning. Like that has to affect their day-to-day and culture in some form.
Although I guess the combined population of 4 outer worlds waaaaay outnumbers the amount Human Summoners can reasonably contain despite all the Summonite Stones in circulation. They do seem pretty rare in-universe.
I also remember it being explained that it takes a great deal of magic (which is explained as life energy brought about by the soul cycle which is also cool) to bind a Summoned creature permanently.
>consistent
Consistency and persistence is always appreciated when it comes to fantasy.
>but I assume reincarnated babies are born to a mother, they don't just appear
My headcanon is that only applies to non-divine beings. What do you think?
>Was アメル herself AND the tree?
!!!
Yes! This is explained in the U:X books. Exclusive supplementary media lore is kind of lame but it turns out Amer is basically the tree's avatar - a projection. Tree goes down, she does too.
I like how you have nitpicks. Means you care enough to nitpick.
