I am saying marriage because commitment is a good deterrent against dishonest intent. I am saying parental guidance, because a 14 year old is going to be fooled easily due to lack of experience. But if you lived a unsheltered life you will soon find, that a lot of people would benefit from such treatment even when 30. The independence argument is also simply yet another framework imposed on society from above. Its not a right nor it should be. Most young people don't know what the fuck they want or who they want to be. A terrible number of males and females wasted a lot of their time and have a huge number of regrets simply because they were left to govern themselves. If you have any amount of smarts you will realize, that even in a society without etos, majority of us are still followers. For most of human history people didn't have to choose and they were happy for it. Yes, there are absolute units that are able to choose for themselves, but lets face it. Most of us aren't. Many problems of today's society would be instantly fixed if we went to the old system.

But since family structure was destroyed, and since due to danger only the most deranged go for young guys/young girls, I would actually raise all the laws about marriage and age of consent. We no longer have the social tools necessary.
