So you know the tech where Compress can cancel a neutral melee into his alpha? It turns out that's not unique to Compress. After realizing that Nejire can do it, I tested every character in the roster.
Compress, Nejire, and Shiggy can all do it easily and benefit from it. Compress can cancel his second melee into alpha. Nejire can cancel her full melee combo into an alpha or gamma. Strike Shiggy can cancel his full melee combo into his gamma, and Assault Shiggy can cancel his second melee into any of his moves. Technically he can do his full combo and cancel it, but his last hit knocks the enemy away and it doesn't seem like any of his moves are fast enough to damage the enemy before they hit the ground and get iframes.
Strike Kendo can do it, though not in the traditional way. Instead, jumping at any point during her melee will interrupt it, and then any other move can be used before she leaves the ground in order to interrupt the jump animation.
Monoma and Hawks can do it easily, but don't benefit from it. The second hit of Monoma's melee is a hard knockdown, and all of Hawks's moves combo into his melee already (and its down power is too high for him to just do a double melee combo.)
Mt. Lady and Dabi can do it, but the timing is uncomfortably tight. It would require a lot of training and would be easy to mess up even then.
Shinso and Toga can do it, but the timing is so tight that it seems completely infeasible.
As far as I've been able to tell in my testing, no other character can use this mechanic at all.
