Idiots and regulations are pushed by corporations because they help them maintain monopolies. The state and corporations have entered a cartel to block new players from entering the market who could threaten those monopolies.

The point is to create 1,001 absurd barriers unrelated to the product itself, making small and medium businesses simply unprofitable compared to large corporations that already have massive capital.

Here’s an example: in the UK, all farming companies are required to dispose of cow manure using expensive electrical equipment because, supposedly, global warming exists and cow dung contributes to it.

Does this have anything to do with the quality of the cow’s meat or milk? No. But it increases the cost of the final product and raises the entry cost for starting a farming business. There are tons of such barriers, which ultimately prevent anyone but already insanely wealthy corporations from starting a farming business.

The market will solve its own problems. If a product is bad or harmful to health, consumers simply won’t buy it and will choose a quality product instead. The essence of a free market is that there are many players competing with each other, and if your product isn’t good enough, you’ll go bankrupt.

No one would bother adding lead to food if someone else is selling lead-free food.

The point is, the fewer market regulations there are, the less harmful nonsense there is for consumers.
