Fresh new player here, I asked for tips on Zealot and how to get good a couple days ago.

I'm intending to switch from heavy sword to relic blade, but I want to make sure I "do it right". What exactly do people mean by dump stats?
I've been mashing dodge (semi) randomly and it's been working, but I'm not feeling the effectiveness of blocking/block-stabbing.
