Now previously we drew masks by including just outside the area we wanted to change. Now we're going to do the opposite. Select just a small area of the target clothes you want to change. Enough that the SEGS has a rough idea of how large of an idea to feed into the SAMDetector, but include as little skin as possible. One important thing to note is that if your target is wearing multiple different items of clothing with multiple different colors, you might have to draw a mask for each area independently. This doesn't mean adding a bunch of new mask or image load nodes, just that you keep separation between those areas.
This can also struggle if the target is wearing clothes that are very close their skintone or the background. You can try to adjust the thresholds to 1 to compensate for that but in some cases I find it's best to just keep a backup manual masking workflow on hand for those situations. It's frustrating to have to go back to a manual mask after you've spent so long tweaking settings on the SAMDetector but sometimes doing it manually is best.
