no idea. I don't know if even welles knows what actually went down. but I do agree that wulfram and co severely misjudged isobel thinking she would back down. I don't want to be all up my ass being le enlightened centrist saying both sides le bad, but it really did feel like the conflict only escalated the way it did because of the nature of the players of the game. isobel is too cynical and stubborn, wulfram too idealistic and stubborn, for any form of reconciliation to occur. and I'm just stuck in the middle trying to ensure my duchy doesn't starve. maybe if cunaris made an effort early on to form a faction formed on moderating the two parties we could have prevented civil war, but he's so detached from politics that he only shows up when things spill over to violence and we need to enact a marital law.
