It used to be like standard history geek stuff to think the CSA or at least the ANV was cool. Nowadays even lots of Southerners I see IRL (I also am one) think I'm weird for being in the SCV and the like.

Did I miss something in the years I didn't browse /pol/? How exactly is the Confederate/Rebel Flag treated the same as the fucking meme flags? Unless you're actually illiterate, there's no way you don't know all these states currently still exist.
Especially if you're from the American South and White, there's literally no fucking reason not to like these guys if you're not just the Right Wing version of a fucking self-hating White cuck.
