It really does need more. I think From Software's reputation as being "one of the good ones" is holding them back. Where's Liurniaveld? Where's shifting earth, Abyssal Forest? Where's Altus Plateauveld? What about a castle event where all the banished knights have innate frost, and they're labeled "frost banished knight" when you lock on so nobody gets confused? (Think Risk of Rain where elite enemies with affixes are labeled as such - Overloading Lemurian, etc.)
They're sitting on the skeleton of something that can be much, much larger and with at least two years' longevity if they just let themselves be a little more video gamey. That mage golem from the base game in Caelid? Why isn't he an Evergaol boss or a formidable foe? C'mon Ishizaki.
